Fall Worship Schedule
We
went back to the fall worship schedule on September 7 with two services: New
Life Service at 9 AM Traditional Service at 11 AM
Living
the Good Life Together
New Series to Begin at the New Life Service
The New Life Service at Marple Presbyterian Church (MPC) is
often referred to as a contemporary worship service in that it does not
necessarily follow a traditional order of worship and the music shared is
typically not found in a hymnal.
However, MPC has gone beyond simply changing the order of worship and adding
peppier songs, to offering a worship experience that is not tied to any
prescribed format and is free to change.
The service, led by both Pastor Karen, and laity, has emerged in a
meaningful way by celebrating the gifts and talents of those who come and those
who share.
This fall, as we gather, the New Life Service will
continue to emerge in a new way as we embark on the study series “Living the
Good Life Together: Christian Character in Community”.
We will examine such topics as Attentiveness, Forgiveness, Discernment,
Intimacy, and Hospitality. Each
topic will involve 6 to 8 weeks when we explore key features of the Christian
character based on two teachings of Jesus: Come and See, then Go and Do.
Firmly grounded in Scripture, this series will introduce us to ordinary
people doing extraordinary things, as they live out their faith.

NOW
AVALABLE – Weekly Devotionals are now available for YOU!
By permission we will be printing a limited number of Max Lucado’s weekly

for anyone who is interested in using these to enhance their devotional time
during the week.
As the "Teaching Ministry of Max Lucado," UpWords®

Jesus Christ. Look for your copy in
the Narthex and enjoy.
Nursery Care
Nursery care is provided every
Sunday from 8:45 to after the traditional service. We are excited to introduce
our two new care gives: Holly Brangiel, one of our newest members, and Kimberly
Gibson, wife of member Craig Gibson. Both caregivers are mothers of young boys
and loving and caring individuals.
